| Kathleen Zettergren, Owner, Yoga Teacher Kathleen is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher (200 hour) and an Anusara-inspired Yoga Instructor. Kathleen has practiced yoga for ten years and, in addition to her Kripalu training, has studied Ashtanga, Kundalini and Anusara styles of yoga. Kathleen conducts research to examine the effects of yoga on the risk of falling in older adults. Kathleen recently presented: "The Use of Therapeutic Yoga to Prevent Falling in Older Adults" at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association. This work was published in the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy in May, 2011. Kathleen's current research involves investigating EMG activity of LE muscles in selected ASANA. Kathleen's mission when teaching yoga is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for all participants and, above all else, keep it light and have some fun! Kathleen's true passion is to continue her research on the effects of yoga on strength, balance, postural control. |
